ABOUT

Derek Rabbitts (drums, vocals) and Richie House (guitar, vocals) have been playing together since the early ’70s. The two were bandmates in Trigger, a popular New York/New Jersey−based hard rock group that honed their act playing 300 shows a year in the area as well as overseas. The band’s 1978 self-titled album on Casablanca Records was described by critics as:

  • “packing a wallop of a loaded 45” (Hard Rock magazine)

  • “power rock guitars with Paul Rodgers-ish vocals” (Record World)

  • “double-barrel guitar action paces the non-stop, bombastic power rock rhythms” (Billboard)

  • “blitzkrieg-style attack—hard and fast with no let-up in the impact” (Rock Scene magazine)

  • “A cross between Kiss and Foreigner...  the end result something of a mellifluous mindblower” (Sounds - London)

Derek and Richie bring that experience, energy and talent to this new band.

Ronnie Crispino (bass) started playing electric bass at 14, influenced by his idols Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney, and James Jamerson. He’s been active in area bands since the mid-’60s and has been a studio musician since the ’80s. His strong point is improvisation, along with providing steady, dynamic, melodic basslines and grooves. His instrument of choice is a ’62 Gibson EB-3. A seasoned bass player, Ronnie brings solid backbone to Red Paisley Band.

Dan Kohane (keyboard, vocals) brings an impressive musical background and eclectic interests to the group. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, with an M.A. in classical composition, Dan also studied Ethnomusicology, specializing in community music and the music of Indonesia. He’s a big fan of Queen, Yes, and Muse as well as many other pioneers of Rock  and Rhythm & Blues groups of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
